The 2025 Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) Top 4 tournament begins today at the Legon Sports Stadium in Accra.
The GHALCA top 4 was originally slated for the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi, but it had to be moved after the location was judged inadequate.
Organisers later considered the Accra Sports Stadium before settling on Legon.
The switch comes as the Black Stars prepare to meet Mali in next month’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification at Accra Sports Stadium.
The Legon facility will also act as a temporary home base for Asante Kotoko and Bibiani GoldStars during their upcoming CAF inter-club matches.
This year’s top four includes Ghana Premier League champions Bibiani GoldStars, Asante Kotoko, Hearts of Oak, and Heart of Lions.
The tournament begins today, August 20, with Hearts of Oak vs Heart of Lions in the first match, and the final is scheduled for Sunday, August 24.
