Media allegations that comedian and education campaigner Michael Owusu Afriyie, better known as Teacher Kwadwo, had been reinstated have been denied by the Ghana Education Service (GES).
The GES emphasised that the information in circulation is false in a statement signed by Head of Public Relations Daniel Fenyi.
According to the press release, “Mr. Owusu Afriyie has not been reinstated into the Ghana Education Service.”
Kwadwo, a teacher who was fired in 2021, has often voiced his displeasure with the ruling. The GES stated that he is allowed to file a formal petition for review and appropriate consideration if he still believes the dismissal was unfair.
The Service reiterated that no such reinstatement has occurred and advised the public to disregard the false rumours.
