Fred Nuamah is wasting his money and time; he will lose – John Dumelo

John Dumelo, an actor who has entered politics, has refuted claims that he supported his friend and colleague Fred Nuamah’s decision to run for the Ayawaso West Wuogon seat in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary seat.

According to him, Fred Nuamah was aware that he would be running for election to represent the constituency once again in the elections of 2024, but he went ahead and picked up the nomination forms anyway.

While appearing on United Showbiz on UTV, he stated that the claims made by the CEO of the Ghana Movie Award, which state that Dumelo did not inform him of his “second coming” and that he had given his blessing, are untrue.

I never gave him my blessings, and I never told him face-to-face that “Fred, I am not coming back (to Ayawaso), so you can go there.” “I have never given him my blessings. “I never said it, never in any conversation whatsoever,” he stated unequivocally. “I never said it.”

In addition, John Dumelo mentioned that “he called me two months ago and said that he had heard of my return and that, as a result, he was ready to support my bid to come back.” On February 3, he celebrated my birthday with us, and then later that evening, he handed out his flyer.

John Dumelo stated that Fred Nuamah later sent him a lengthy message providing an explanation as to why he was also submitting a bid to compete.

Notwithstanding this, the NDC parliamentary candidate for Ayawaso West Wuogon in the year 2020 stated, “I insisted then that I never told him I wouldn’t come back, so which blessings did I give?”

“I believe that this is a betrayal as well as a stab in the back, particularly for someone who I have known for more than 20 years. I really didn’t want to bring this up, but after hearing what he had to say, I felt like it was necessary. John Dumelo continued by saying, “He is a liar.”

This comes after actor-turned-politician Fred Nuamah claimed he was taken aback by his friend John Dumelo’s “u-turn” after his declaration to contest once again for the Ayawaso West Wuogon seat despite previous assurances that he would not. Dumelo had previously stated that he would not run for the seat again.

In an interview with graphic showbiz, Mr. Nuamah explained that the 2020 NDC Parliamentary candidate for the constituency had informed him and others that he would no longer compete for a parliamentary seat in the Greater Accra Region. This information was relayed to Mr. Nuamah and others by the candidate.

Fred stated that “he gave me his blessings when I made up my mind to contest” in reference to the competition, noting that he will not back down from the challenge.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Movie Awards stated, “I would have rather expected him to honor his word when he said he wouldn’t contest the seat and, as a result, throw his support behind me.”

John Dumelo, on the other hand, maintains that such encounters did not take place and questions whether or not “he deserves my blessings.”

In light of the fact that he believes the delegates and constituents want him to return to office, John Dumelo is confident that he will prevail in the NDC primaries.
