A terrible fire destroyed four shops in Nantwikumye, a Bibiani suburb in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipality in the Western North Region.
The fire, which started on Sunday, damaged two dressmaking shops, a cosmetics shop, and a hairdresser salon.
The fire resulted in the loss of expensive property, including industrial sewing machines, fabrics, cosmetics, fake hair, cash, and other items.
According to Richmond Appiah, Public Relations Officer for the Bibiani Municipal Fire Service, firemen responded to a distress call and were able to contain the fire despite its severity.
DO2 Enock Tetteh, the Municipal Fire Service Commander, has subsequently advised the people to utilise proper electrical materials in their houses and shops to avoid similar tragedies.
