Today, in Parliament, Finance Minister Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam will submit the 2024 Mid-Year Budget Review.
In compliance with Section 28 of the Public Financial Management Act, 2016 (Act 921) this will be his first budget presentation after becoming Finance Minister in February 2024.
The review will give the House an update on how the 2024 budget is being implemented, as well as new financial plans and an updated Ghanaian economic prognosis.
The assessment will look at growth metrics, revenue, expenditure performance, finance, debt sustainability, and the economy and fiscal performance for the first half of the year, according to a statement released by the Ministry on July 22.
Additionally, Dr. Amin Adam will provide the Parliament an update on the $3 billion Post-COVID-19 Programme for Economic Growth (PC-PEG), which is financed by the IMF.
