Because there is a higher risk of infection and blindness while using 26 distinct over-the-counter eye drop treatments, the FDA has issued a warning to individuals who use them.

The FDA claims that agency investigators found unhygienic conditions and positive bacterial tests in the manufacturing facilities, which led to the recall.

Eyedrop user Audrey Adamccyk stated, “Now I definitely will look at that more because I really had no idea.”
There have been recalls for a number of products, including UP&UP, Multi-Action Relief, Dry Eye Relief, Lubricant Gel Drops, and Lubricant Eye Drops. These goods are sold under well-known names like Target and CVS Health. Rite Aid, Rugby (Cardinal Health), Leader (Cardinal Health), and Velocity Pharma are some additional brands.
While some of these goods may still be on store shelves and online, customers are advised not to purchase them, according to the FDA.
“I just have to do my research because it would be really unfortunate to go blind over some eyedrops.” Summers remarked, “I need to look into it so I don’t mess around and go blind, but I’m not really nervous about it.”
