After 10 years of being together and having a son and a daughter together, they decided to end their relationship and divorce. In 1992, Christopher married the actress Dana Morosini, and they went on to have a child together.

On October 9, 2004, Christopher Reeve lost his battle with lung cancer at the age of 52.
