Buster Murdaugh, Richard Alexander Murdaugh’s oldest and only son, is the person of interest at this point in the investigation.
Murdaugh is suspected of killing both his son and his wife, and the investigation is focused on him. The murders of Maggie Murdaugh, Alex Murdaugh’s wife, and Paul Murdaugh, the couple’s younger son, took place in June 2021 and sent shockwaves throughout the entirety of South Carolina.
