Billy Connor Comedy Class: The Man Who Teaches You, Will Teach How to Tell Jokes for $48

An online course taught by Billy Connolly will cost you £48 and will instruct you in the art of stand-up comedy.

The price of the comedian’s BBC Maestro course, which was originally £88 but has been cut for Black Friday, is now £48.

The following is an excerpt from the description: “Make yourself comfortable with the king of stand-up comedy as he unpacks a career of making people laugh.” This is Billy in a way that you haven’t seen him in the past. While demonstrating some of his most impressive routines, Billy opens up about his creative process.

“Billy will put you in front of the microphone and teach you the ins and outs of comedy from the man who pretty much founded the art form.”

There are a total of 19 lessons spread out over the course’s duration of two hours and thirty minutes. These lessons cover topics such as how to subvert expectations, where to find comic material, how to choose the right agent, and how to handle hecklers.

In a preview, Connolly is heard saying that “the world is a strange place.” “Remember this if you want to become a comedian: There are funny policemen, funny postmen, and funny gravediggers.” “There are funny policemen, funny postmen, and funny gravediggers.”

Other courses offered by BBC Maestro have also been discounted to £48 each, including one taught by Mark Ronson that focuses on music creation. The sale is scheduled to run through Monday, November 28.

Billy Connolly will announce his retirement from stand-up comedy in 2020 with a television special titled Billy Connolly: It’s Been A Pleasure. Connolly was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2013. In addition, Paul McCartney, Elton John, Lenny Henry, Dustin Hoffman, and Russell Brand made appearances in the special.
