Beyoncé unveils name of new country album

Beyoncé has revealed the name of her new album.

Act II: Cowboy Carter will be released on March 29.

The title was revealed on her official website, along with details of how fans can snap up limited edition CD, vinyl, and box set editions of the release.

Beyoncé announced the follow-up to Act I: Renaissance at the Super Bowl in February, where she starred in a Verizon advertisement that ended with her saying: “They ready, drop the new music.”

Beyoncé followed up the announcement with two singles: Texas Hold ‘Em and 16 Carriages.

Texas Hold ‘Em hit the top of the charts in February, making the singer the first black woman to top Billboard’s Hot Country Songs.

It also made her only the second solo female artist to have a song go straight in at number one on the chart – Taylor Swift’s re-recordings of Love Story and All Too Well in 2021 were the first.
