Former YOLO actor Drogba appeals to Bawumia for treatment abroad [Video]

Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has been reminded by Ghanaian actor John Peasah, who gained notoriety for playing Drogba in the TV series YOLO, of a commitment he made regarding his medical care.

On August 2, 2024, Peasah thanked the Vice President on Instagram for stopping by his home and office and for his encouraging words.

“I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to the Vice President of the Land @mbawumia for hosting my visit to his office, as well as for his support and visit to my home,” the message read.

Peasah, who has been fighting demyelination for more than two years, claimed that even though he appears better, he still has excruciating pain that he cannot explain.

He reminded Vice President Bawumia of his promise to facilitate treatment abroad.

“I might look better but inwardly I’m in excruciating pain…this pain is not explainable!!! Please, I want to remind him not to forget his promise for my treatment outside…Thank you.”

His heartfelt message has received an outpouring of support from fans, who continue to send their well-wishes for his recovery.
