At the age of five, Lamine Yamal became a member of Barcelona's La Masia academy. Since that year, he has been a member of the club's youth teams and has played on multiple occasions. Xavi Hernandez, the head coach of Barcelona's first team, saw Lamine Yamal's talents and achievements while he was playing for Barcelona's minor teams.
