The Golden Globe Awards have received nine nominations for Barbie and eight nominations for Oppenheimer, respectively, making them the most nominated films.
Additionally, Killers of the Flower Moon and Poor Things are both contenders, each receiving seven nominations for their respective films.
A number of actors, including Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Cillian Murphy, Emma Stone, and Leonardo DiCaprio, have been nominated for acting awards.
The event is scheduled to take place on January 7 in the city of Los Angeles.

The television show Succession has received a total of nine nominations, including the award for best television drama series.
Among the other television programs that have been recognized, only Murders in the Building, The Diplomat, The Morning Show, and The Crown have been recognized.
Margot Robbie was nominated for best actress in a musical or comedy movie; Ryan Gosling was nominated for best supporting actor; and Greta Gerwig was nominated for best director. Barbie received nine nominations.
Barbie and Oppenheimer lead 2024 contenders
Dance the Night by Dua Lipa, I’m Just Ken by Ryan Gosling, and What Was I Made For? by Billie Eilish are the three songs that have been nominated for the award for best original song. Additionally, the feminist satire that is based on the all-conquering line of plastic dolls has garnered three nominations.
The film Oppenheimer, which Christopher Nolan directed and starred Cillian Murphy (pictured), has received eight nominations.
The nomination for Oppenheimer is for cinematic and box office achievement, which is a new category that will be established for the 2024 ceremony. The purpose of this category is to ensure that films that are well-liked by the general audience receive more attention.
Additionally, Emily Blunt has been nominated for her supporting role in the film, and Christopher Nolan has been nominated for the award for best director, respectively.
In recognition of his performance in the biographical film about J. Robert Oppenheimer, the man who invented the nuclear bomb, Cillian Murphy has been nominated for the award for best actor in a drama. He is one of the six candidates.
There are also other nominees in this category, such as Bradley Cooper, who plays the role of composer Leonard Bernstein in the film Maestro.
Additionally, Colman Domingo has been nominated for the role of Rustin, which is based on the true story of the individual who assisted Martin Luther King in organizing the March on Washington in 1963.
For his performance in the British romantic fantasy movie All of Us Strangers, which is scheduled to be released in January and also stars Paul Mescal, Andrew Scott is one of the contenders in the same category. There are also nominations for Paul Mescal.
In the category of television, Meryl Streep for her role in Only Murders in the Building, Hannah Waddingham for her role in Ted Lasso, and Elizabeth Debicki for her role in The Crown have all been nominated for best supporting roles.
At this point, Meryl Streep holds the record for the most Golden Globe nominations, having received 33 nominations.
In addition, Taylor Swift has been nominated for her fifth time, this time in the category of box office, for her tour titled Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour. She has been nominated for best original song on multiple occasions in the past.
These summer blockbusters, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and Mission: Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One, are among the films that have been nominated for box office achievement. Oppenheimer is also among the films that have been accepted.
The Best Performance in Stand-Up Comedy category is the other category that was recently added for the year 2024. There are a number of nominees, including Ricky Gervais, Trevor Noah, and Amy Schumer.
According to the distributor, Netflix is in the lead with a total of 28 nominations, 13 of which are for films and 15 of which are for television episodes. With a total of seventeen nominations, HBO Max holds the record for the most television awards.
