Samuel Koku Anyidoho, who served as the Director of Communications at the Presidency during the administration of former President Atta Mills, has taken a shot at former President John Mahama for winning the flagbearer election of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Koku Anyidoho Reacts to Mahama’s Victory
After the former President won the primary election on Saturday, May 13, 2023, by an overwhelming majority, he claimed the result was a sham and described it as “fake.”
Mr. Mahama received 297,603 votes, which is 98.9% of the total number of valid votes cast, according to the results that the Electoral Commission has verified and certified.
His nearest rival, the former Mayor of Kumasi, Kojo Bonsu, got a meager 3,181 votes, which is equivalent to 1.1% of the total.
But unimpressed Anyidoho expressed gratitude to God for Dr. Kwabena Duffuor’s decision to withdraw from the contest.
According to Anyidoho, there was not a single drop of blood shed because any trace of blood based on a phony registry would have been blamed on Dr. Duffuor.
Prior to the primaries, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Atta-Mills Institute, Johnson Atta-Mills, had vocally ‘attacked’ the National Chairman of the NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, as well as other National Executives of the NDC and former President John Mahama, who ended up winning.
In a tweet that Anyidoho sent out the morning after the polls on Sunday, he suggested that Mr. Mahama’s victory was due to fraudulent voter registration.
