Clara Amoateng Benson, more prominently known as Maame Serwaa, is a youthful Ghanaian actress and brand ambassador. In April 2018, she was highlighted in BBC Africa’s documentary on the thriving Ghanaian movie industry.
She has also won a few honors, including Kumawood Best Actress of the Year 2015 and Ghana Tertiary Awards Best Actress of the Year 2018.
Benson was born and raised in Kumasi. She was brought into the world on August 19, 1999, by Rose Benson and Opanyin Kwabena Nyame. In 2017, she completed senior high at Serwaa Nyarko Girls’ Senior High School and then was granted a four-year degree scholarship to learn at the Knutsford University College situated in East Legon, Accra.
Benson began her acting career at 6 years old and has since featured in a number of movies, procuring her about 10 years of experience in the Ghana film industry.
Silvanus Records hired her to a five-year management contract in 2018. She is presently the brand ambassador for Knutsford University College.
