Veteran Nollywood actor, Amaechi Muonagor, dies at 62

At the age of 62, veteran Nollywood actor Amaechi Muonagor passed away following a protracted illness.

Muonagor was reportedly receiving dialysis due to kidney failure.

Only a few days have passed since his heartbreaking video appeal for money to support a kidney transplant went viral.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Muonagor was born on August 20, 1962, and is originally from Idemili, in the Anambra region.

Veteran Nollywood actor, Amaechi Muonagor, dies at 62

Amaechi Muonagor was both a producer and a performer. He received a nomination in 2016 for the AMVCA Award for Best Actor in a Comedy.

Following his youth service, Muonagor began employment with the News Agency of Nigeria in 1989. A few years later, he quit his employment to play an acting part in his first motion picture as Akunatakasi in Taboo 1, a Nigerian movie.
