Allotey Jacobs praises Bawumia, says he is better than these people

The former chairman of the NDC's Central Regional Committee, Bernard Allotey Jacobs, has expressed his displeasure with the religious campaign that has been waged against Dr. Bawumia.

Allotey Jacobs launched a scathing attack against those who were using the Muslim card against the vice president, arguing that the NPP will not be successful in the upcoming elections so long as he is the party's leader.

Allotey Jacobs praises Bawumia, says he is better than these people

Because Christians make up the majority of Ghana's population, its detractors believe that the fact that he is a Muslim will make it more difficult for the party to win the elections in 2024.

However, Allotey Jacobs has refuted the perception that the Islamic background of the Vice President poses a threat to the election prospects of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Insisting that Dr. Bawumia is “more Christian than those Christians,” he compared Dr. Bawumia to other Christians.

He is a much more devout Christian than those people who like to strut around proudly proclaiming that they are Christians. In spite of the fact that he is an Islamic person or a Muslim, he is a more devout Christian than any other Christian.

He extolled Bawumia as the ideal leader for the NPP and admonished those who were attacking him to desist from their violence.

These remarks were given by him on the Wednesday, July 19, 2023, edition of the panel discussion programme Kokrokoo,” broadcast on Peace FM.
