Alan is the Hope of Ghanaians – Legon SRC Prez

Young supporters of Hon. Alan Kyerematen, a former trade and industry minister, have reaffirmed their faith in him.

A group of young people led by the SRC president of the University of Ghana Legion showed their enthusiasm for Mr. Kyerematen.

The enthusiasm is a result of Hon. Alan Kyerematen’s track record, which demonstrates that he is the answer to young employment creation.

We have faith that Alan Kyerematen will make things better, he remarked. His track record as the Minister of Trade and Industry demonstrates that we can rely on him to provide young people with jobs. Every chance he’s had has worked out and resulted in the creation of jobs for young people.

To ensure Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen is elected president, the youth wing is ready to travel the entire length and breadth of the nation.

Some youthful admirers of Mr. Kyerematen who have supported him since the beginning of his presidential campaign in the early 2000s feel that he is the only chance for the nation to restore its former splendour.

Their optimism is based on Alan Kyerematen’s demonstrated track record, which dates back to his appointments as Ghana’s ambassador to the United States, trade advisor at the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, and minister for trade and industry under President John Agyekum Kufuor. Later, President Nana Akufo-Addo reappointed him to the same position.

The SRC president went on to highlight Mr. Kyerematen’s accomplishments in the One District, One Factory (1D1F) automotive industry, Presidential Special Initiatives (PSI), Millennium Challenge Accounts, Youth, and Master Card YouStart.

“With Alan, we are certain that we have a leader who considers and engages youth. We implore all young delegates to cast their ballots and support him for president of Ghana,” he said in conclusion.

This follows Mr. Kyerematen filling out his forms after they were picked up and given to him by market queens all throughout the nation.

Alan Kyerematen, a former trade and industry minister, filed his nomination papers for the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential primary today at the Accra-based party’s headquarters.

Following the collection of nomination forms for Hon. Kyerematen by market queens from the 16 areas of the nation, he submitted his forms.

Members of Parliament for Lambussie in the Upper West Region, Hon. Bright Bakye Yelviel Baligi, were present to support the former Minister.

“My MP colleague and I have the privilege to be part of this historic occasion,” Hon. Baligi stated during his speech at the event. I thus introduce to you Mr. Industry, Hon. Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen, the next president of Ghana, the man of action and integrity who lives up to his words, the unifier, the guy to rescue, rebuild, restore, and reward the party.

The large crowd of admirers in attendance responded with a thunderous round of applause in agreement.

The lawmakers also praised Hon. Kyerematen for being a real-world economist who follows through on his promises.
“Hon. Kyerematen has been competent in the sense that he is credible and has outstanding accomplishments at both the private and corporate levels of governance and entrepreneurship,” he added.

In January 2023, the Honourable Alan Kyerematen resigned from his position as Minister of Trade and Industry in order to pursue his presidential aspirations.

He supported the government’s One District, One Factory (1D1F) agenda before his resignation, and since then, more than 170 factories have been established across the nation.

Mr. Alan Kyerematen Aslos worked in the same position for the previous administration of John Agyekum Kufuor, championing the Presidential Special Initiatives programme that intended to develop fully integrated industries nationwide.
