Akufo-Addo nominates new MCE for Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai

Paul Andoh has been proposed as the new chief executive for the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Municipal Assembly in the Western North Region by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

He will take Alfred Amoah’s place, who passed away in a car accident in July of last year.

Accidentally killed was MCE Bibiani-Anhwiaso.

After an official gathering of all metropolitan, municipal, and district chief executives (MMDCEs) in the Jubilee House, Mr. Amoah was heading back to his municipality.

Dan Botwe, Minister of Local Government, Decentralization, and Rural Development, informed the Western North Minister of the nominee.

In accordance with Article 243(1) of the 1992 Constitution and Section 20(1) of the Local Governance Act, 2016 (Act 936), President Akufo-Addo nominated Mr. Andoh.

“A special meeting would soon be held to confirm the nominee in light of this nomination,” On Tuesday, April 18, Western North Region Minister Joojo Rocky Obeng sent a letter to the Assembly.
