Meeting with Ken Agyapong over ‘showdown’ claim was positive – Afenyo Markin

Alexander Afenyo Markin, the Spokesperson for the Elections Committee of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has revealed that on Tuesday, the committee conducted productive discussions with flagbearer aspirant Kennedy Agyapong about his viral showdown comment that was made during the special delegates meeting.

Mr. Afenyo-Markin pointed out that the committee was successful in its interactions with all nine of the other candidates for the party’s presidential nomination in Accra.

“This was a very productive meeting for both of us. A few of the agents came forward with their own reports on particular occurrences and circumstances in which they encountered some challenges, and they were given the opportunity to provide us with a comprehensive report on what took place.

According to what he shared with Umaru Sanda Amadu during an interview on Eyewitness News broadcast on Citi FM, “We are going to meet some other members again on Thursday.”

Mr. Afenyo-Markin continued by saying, “We also had the opportunity to meet with one of the aspirants who made certain statements that went viral, and we had a positive engagement with him. And I have to confess that everything looks nice to me so far.
