According to statements made by former President John Dramani Mahama, the upcoming election in 2024 will not be a joke.
Mahama stated that it was a matter of life and death.
On Monday, March 13, as part of his campaign to be elected flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), he interacted with delegates of the NDC at Dormaa East.
As part of his campaign, he urged the supporters of the party to be extra vigilant in the next general election to ensure success for the party.
To paraphrase what he said,
“Open your eyes at the polling stations like eagle eyes,” he said.
Mahama added “we know that you all have children who have been educated, we want you to release them to us so that we train them five times before we vote. This 2024 election is not a joke, it is boot to boot, it is do-or-die.”
