Suzzy Pinamang, an Adventist Senior High School girl who sadly lost her sight following a gunshot incident at school, has arrived in Accra for advanced medical care, thanks to the prompt intervention of businessman and philanthropist Ibrahim Mahama.

The form two student from Bantama in the Ashanti Region received a life-altering gunshot wound on April 4, 2025, when a classmate allegedly took a handgun to school and mistakenly discharged it during a confrontation.

The gunshot struck Pinamang in the forehead, critically injuring her and causing irreversible sight impairment.

Following emergency care at Kwadaso Hospital and later at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, experts judged that only specialist surgery could provide a possibility of partial vision restoration.

Her passionate request for assistance, in which she appealed to public figures like as Ibrahim Mahama and Kennedy Agyapong, received significant attention.

Honourable Kennedy Agyapong and Ibrahim Mahama I beg you, there are still bullets in my eyes, and I can’t sleep. Please come to my aid for surgery so that I can return to school.

Mr Ibrahim Mahama, moved by her request, has accepted complete responsibility for her medical treatment, permitting her travel to Accra for further evaluation and probable surgery.

According to a video that appeared online, the young girl has arrived in Accra and is likely to receive medical assistance soon.

Pinamang’s visit to Accra represents a vital milestone in her quest to recovery, and her tale has inspired renewed calls for enhanced school safety and mental health care for afflicted pupils.
