The Trades Union Congress (TUC) and other unions forming the leadership of organized labor have decided to launch a statewide strike on Monday, July 15, over the government’s insistence on selling a sixty percent share in hotels that are owned by the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT).

The purpose of the strike is to force the government to revoke the sale of the hotels to Bryan Acheampong’s Rock City Hotel Limited, the Minister of Food and Agriculture.
