West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur have reached an agreement for the £55 million transfer of Ghanaian star Mohammed Kudus.
After joining West Ham from Ajax for an outstanding Premier League debut season, the 24-year-old found it difficult to sustain his form in his second season.
Due to his lack of consistency and limited effect in important games, Kudus Mohammed has now made the decision to restart his career at Spurs, a team that has demonstrated a significant belief in his abilities.
Tottenham’s interest in him turned out to be more tangible and steady, despite early suggestions that he was considering a move to Chelsea.
Early in the summer, the North London team made their intentions known and had direct discussions with the player and his team, which finally persuaded Kudus to switch. He was apparently won over by Spurs’ ambition and long-term strategy under new manager Thomas Frank.
Kudus will sign a six-year contract with Tottenham and is anticipated in London on Thursday for medical examinations.
One of the most gifted African exports in European football, the Ghanaian international finished the previous season with the most completed dribbles among Europe’s top five leagues.
As he gets ready for a new chapter in the Premier League, the move gives Kudus a new beginning and a larger platform to regain his best form.
