Thomas Partey, the former Arsenal midfielder, was charged with five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault. He was given conditional bail.
On Tuesday, the Ghanaian, 32, showed up at Westminster Magistrates’ Court.
The Ghanaian midfielder faces five charges of sexual assault against a third woman and five counts of rape against two other women.
He was a player for Arsenal from 2021 to 2022, when the alleged acts occurred.
The alleged acts occurred between 2021 and 2022 while he was a member of Arsenal, a club in north London.
His contract terminated at the end of June, and he was charged four days after leaving Arsenal.
The accusations arose following the start of the investigation by investigators in February 2022, which was initiated after police received a rape report.
Jenny Wiltshire, Mr. Partey’s attorney, previously stated that he “denies all the charges against him” and that he was grateful for “the opportunity to finally clear his name.”
The top court has heard Partey’s case.
On September 2, Partey will make his next appearance before the Central Criminal Court.
