The New Football Season Begins This Weekend.

The FA Community Shield is a competition that takes place annually and pits the winners of the previous year’s Premier League and FA Cup against one another. The first game of the next football season will be played at this stadium.

Manchester United prevailed against Queens Park Rangers, the champions of the Southern League, in the first-ever Shield match. Queens Park Rangers had only just become the first champions of the Football League. United came out on top with a 4-0 victory after playing to a 1-1 draw in the first encounter at Stamford Bridge.

The Shield has evolved into one of the most important competitions of the domestic season, and it was first held in August of 2004.

Arsenal was victorious against Manchester United at Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium, which had a total attendance of 63,317. The game had the potential to be seen by 270 million people across the world through television.

McDonald’s is now the sponsor of the Football Association Community Shield. In the past, the curtain raiser has been sponsored by a variety of different corporations, including One2One, AXA, Littlewoods, and General Motors.

A donation of around one million pounds is made to Community Shield by McDonald’s every year. The extra million was made possible by profits that were tied to the competition. It is anticipated that Liverpool and Manchester City, the two teams fighting for the championship this year, would share around £1.25 million between them.

Manchester United, who holds the record for most championships won in the Premier League, also holds the record for most victories in the FA Community Shield. Since it was first played, the Red Devils have 21 times come out on top. In addition to this, they have the most losses in the Community Shield (nine), as well as the most appearances (30).

The Community Shield match in 2022 is going to be played at the King Power Stadium, which is located in Leicester. Because the Women’s European Championships are currently being held at Wembley Stadium, the game will be moved to another location.

As a direct consequence of this, Leicester City’s stadium, which now holds the title of reigning champion, was chosen.
