Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, the Minister of Education, has said that a limited recruitment of teachers for senior high schools is imminent.
The Minister announced on Facebook on July 30 that the hiring process will start next week.
He advised prospective educators to keep an eye out for information on the application process and the areas of concentration for the hiring process.
The government will recruit SHS teachers next week
“I am happy to announce that starting next week, there will be a limited recruitment drive for high school teachers.” Pay close attention to further information regarding the application process and the targeted fields for this hiring,” he declared.
The statement follows the Ministry of Health’s (MoH) announcement on Monday, August 5, 2024, about the recruitment of 15, 200 nurses and midwives.
In a statement released on Friday, July 26, 2024, the MoH confirmed that the Ministry of Finance (MoF) has granted the necessary financial clearance for the recruitment process.
Interested and qualified candidates are expected to apply through the MoH’s online application portal, where they can select their preferred agency under the Ministry.
The application deadline will close on Friday, August 23, 2024.
The Ministry has emphasized that the recruitment process is free, and applicants are warned not to pay any fees to individuals or entities claiming to facilitate the process.
