Spotify Wrapped 2023 is now available, providing a customized summary of your music choices over the year.
Also, the streaming service revealed on Wednesday that Taylor Swift was the musician that users listened to the most in 2023. According to Spotify, the pop singer has surpassed 26.1 billion plays since January 1st, overtaking Bad Bunny, the three-year leader in Puerto Rican reggaetón.
How to view your 2023 Spotify Wrapped
Open the Spotify app on a mobile device to see your customized streaming round-up, or go to Spotify.com/Wrapped to watch it on any browser.
If using a phone, look for the “Your 2023 Wrapped” button on the Spotify home screen. Tap it, and then select “Your Wrapped” from the menu that appears.
You will then be shown a slideshow of your favourite musicians, songs, genres, podcasts, and other lists in the format of an Instagram Story. Additionally, you’ll see statistics such as the amount of time you spent listening to music and the global comparison of your streaming habits.
You can listen to a playlist of your favourite songs from 2023 and share your results on social media after the slideshow ends.
This year’s new addition, Spotify Wrapped, will also pair you with a city where residents share your listening preferences. Furthermore, you’re assigned to one of 12 streaming behaviours that characterised your music-listening habits this year by Spotify’s new “Me in 2023” function.
Luminary (you might listen to bright, cheerful music more than others), Alchemist (you make more playlists than others), Vampire (you listen to dramatic, atmospheric music more than most), and more are among the alternatives.
According to Spotify, there are also video messages from your favourite musicians that were submitted by over 40,000 producers.
