Joyce Bawah Mogtari, who serves as the spokesperson for former President John Dramani Mahama, recently stated that the camp of Mr. Mahama had surpassed its aim in the presidential primaries of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Mr. Mahama faced opposition from Kojo Bonsu, who had previously served as mayor of Kumasi. On Friday, May 12, just one day before the election on Saturday, May 13, former Finance Minister Dr. Kwabena announced that he would no longer be running for office.

Within a tweet, Joyce Bawah Mogtari stated, “Waiting for the final result, but we have exceeded our expectations!” So far, 98% for H.E. John Dramani Mahama!

“The people have spoken, and they have spoken out loud! The delegates have my sincere gratitude. Our sponsors and our volunteers.”

In the meantime, Mr. Kojo Bonsu has extended his congratulations to Mr. Mahama on his victory in the presidential primaries, notwithstanding the fact that the Electoral Commission (EC) has not yet made public the final results.

I just got off the phone with His Excellency John Dramani Mahama to offer my congratulations on the resounding victory. He said in a tweet, “Just as I have indicated throughout my campaign, regardless of the outcome of this election, I will continue to serve the NDC party. Thank you.” “Just as I have indicated throughout my campaign,” he said.
