Shatta Wale, a dancehall artist, has expressed his scepticism over Yvonne Nelson’s claims, among other things, that she was impregnated by the rapper Michael Owusu Addo, better known by his stage name Sarkodie, and that he coerced her into terminating the pregnancy.

The actress disclosed this information in her book titled “I Am Not Yvonne Nelson,” and she claims that the incident took place in the year 2010.

She claims that Sarkodie did not want to take responsibility for the pregnancy since, at the time, he was still living with his mother and was not ready to take on the responsibilities of a parent.

A number of people’s thoughts and opinions have been triggered as a result of reading excerpts from the book that have been published in the press and shared on a variety of social media sites.

“…..I wasn’t the only one responsible for the situation, so I called the man whose potent seed had germinated in me. His name is Michael Owusu Addo, a renowned Ghanaian musician who is better known as Sarkodie.

“Sarkodie was a budding musician with the potential to become one of the biggest artists in Ghana and beyond. At the time, however, the future looked uncertain, and his way through the maze of life still appeared too foggy to predict. Success was not guaranteed. He was still living with his mother and was not ready to carry a burden while he was being carried by his mother,” she said in her memoir launched on Sunday, June 18, 2023.

Shatta Wale added his voice to the viral expose that has put both Sarkodie and Yvonne Nelson in the top trends on Twitter. He claimed that he can’t buy Yvonne’s side of the story hook, line, and sinker because, in his opinion, Sarkodie is too good to be guilty of the claims that she has levelled against him. Yvonne Nelson is the one who made the allegations against Sarkodie.

In the book that Yvonne wrote, she related the story of how she found out she was pregnant and how she responded after learning from a DNA test that Sarkodie was the father of the child growing inside of her.
