Sefwi Wiawso NPP PC donates 500 dual desks to Education Directorate

The education directorate in the Sefwi Wiawso municipality in the Western North area has received 500 dual desks as a donation from Festus Bumankama Agyapong, the NPP’s parliamentary candidate for Sefwi Wiawso.

The Sefwi Wiawso municipality has been plagued by desk scarcity, which has a detrimental effect on the standard of instruction. Many pupils have been forced to sit in uncomfortable ways during their classes because there aren’t enough desks.

The purpose of this donation is to help kids who have been experiencing significant desk scarcity in their classrooms by providing better learning environments.

Festus Bumakama Agyapong not only gave the municipal education directorate desks but also a new desktop computer and peripherals to enhance operations and administrative efficiency.

At a brief ceremony held at the forecourt of the NPP Constituency Office in Sefwi Wiawso, Festus Bumakama Agyapong noted that during his campaign tour, he engaged some head teachers who highlighted the urgent need for desks in their schools.

He underscored the importance of supporting educational institutions and reiterated his dedication to improving the quality of education in the area.

He further pledged to increase the number of desks to continue enhancing teaching and learning activities in the Sefwi Wiawso municipality.

Festus Bumakama Agyapong also addressed the misinformation spread by his political opponents, who claimed that his social programs were funded by the Sefwi Wiawso Traditional Council.

He called on the constituents to ignore the false claims made by his political opponents and reaffirmed that his endeavors were solely dedicated to the development of the constituency.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Sefwi Wiawso Municipal Director of Education, Abraham Fetcher, acknowledged the severe desk deficit in the municipality, which stands at 10,000.
