Police arrest Former MP, 2 others over violent clashes at Nsoatreman-Kotoko match

The Ghana Police Service has detained three people concerning the violent skirmishes during a football match between Nsoatreman FC and Kumasi Asante Kotoko in Nsoatre, Bono Region.

The sad occurrence that occurred on Sunday, February 2, resulted in the untimely loss of a devoted Asante Kotoko supporter, Francis Frimpong, well known as Nana Pooley.

According to a statement, the suspects are former Sunyani West MP Ignatius Baffour Awuah, Agyemang Duah Owusu, and Kyeremeh Joseph.

During a search of suspect Agyemang Duah Owusu’s home, police seized two garments with suspected bloodstains and an MP 23 weapon loaded with 15 rounds of ammo.
