In an investigation into her recent media comments regarding the party’s 2024 electoral loss, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has formally called former Dome Kwabenya MP Sarah Adwoa Safo to appear before its Disciplinary Committee.
Patrick Boamah, the Disciplinary Committee Secretary, and William Yamoah, the Director of Finance and Administration, sent out the notice on March 24, 2025.
The hearing is set for Monday, April 7, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in the NPP Headquarters Conference Room, which is situated in Asylum Down, Accra.
Adwoa Safo is advised by the notice to provide any pertinent witnesses or documentary evidence to back up the investigation. She also has the right to legal counsel throughout the process.
The party has asked for proof of her attendance, and the General Secretary’s recommendation letter is enclosed for her reference.
The NPP called for collaboration in the case and reaffirmed its dedication to the values of openness, justice, and due process.
Important party officials, including as the National Chairman, General Secretary, and Chairman of the Disciplinary Committee, have received copies of the notice. The leadership of the party has reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining its principles and guaranteeing accountability among its members. It is anticipated that the hearing’s conclusion will clarify the subject of the inquiry.
