The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has resolved the issues between Andy Appiah Kubi, the MP for Asante Akim North, and NAPO, his running companion, in an attempt to provide a united front for success in the general elections in December.
Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s running mate, Mr. Appiah Kubi openly opposed NAPO, saying he preferred a candidate who was more courteous, modest, and linked to the grassroots.
But on Tuesday, July 9, NAPO was officially introduced in Kumasi after being approved by the National Council. Setting aside their apparent differences, Andy Appiah Kubi visited NAPO in his office on Tuesday, July 16.
Following the announcement that NAPO and Appiah Kubi would collaborate to guarantee the NPP wins the general elections in 2024, they exchanged pleasantries.
In a Facebook post, the NPP’s National Organiser, Henry Nana Boakye, popularly called Nana B, expressed satisfaction with the gesture, stating that the party is now united and poised to “break the eight.”.
“The brotherhood is rekindled, said NPP vice presidential candidates Hon. Matthew Opoku Prempeh (Napo) and Hon. Andy Appiah Kubi earlier today. The NPP is poised to break the 8!!”.
