Nana Yaw Donkor II, Odikro of Adobewura No.1 in the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Municipality, has donated GHS21,000 worth of relief to help with education and community development.

The donation consists of 50 plastic chairs, 30 school desks, four horn speakers, one mixing amplifier, and two Bluetooth microphones. According to the Odikro, the community and the local school explicitly requested these things to solve critical furniture and sound equipment needs.

Nana Yaw Donkor II, a Ghanaian philanthropist based in the United States, was installed as Odikro on January 9, 2025, and has already proved his dedication to transformative leadership through actual action in under four months.

The inhabitants of Adobewura No.1, a dynamic hamlet in the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Municipality of the Western North Region, have reacted positively to this generous gesture.

It follows a series of talks between the traditional chief and local stakeholders, during which the town’s pressing concerns were publicly aired.

“I am the Odikro of Adobewura No.1, and it is my responsibility to support the development of the community,” he said . “The community and the school wanted these supplies, and I regarded it as my responsibility to act quickly. “Leadership is about listening and delivering.”

Nana Yaw Donkor II has displayed a vision of advancement, inclusivity, and empowerment since his ascension to the stool.

His intentions for Adobewura extend well beyond the current donation. He told Sefwinews that the town desperately needs a sustainable water project.
