According to Baffour Amankwatia VI, the acting president of the Kumasi Traditional Council and Bantamahene, the station’s operations must cease on Friday, August 26, 2022, because it allowed Akwasi Addai “Odike,” the founder and leader of the United Progressive Party (UPP), to criticize the chiefs on air.
At the Manhyia Traditional Council meeting today, Amankwatia VI gave the orders when a group from Oyerepa Radio and TV stood before him. According to the council, the decree is effective as of Friday, August 26, 2022.
