Mahama swears-in 14 new ministers

President Mahama swore in fourteen new ministers on Wednesday, January 30, 2025, marking the third set of ministers to be sworn in at the Jubilee House.

On Wednesday, January 30, 2025, President John Dramani Mahama swore in the third set of ministers in the Jubilee House.

Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, Minister of Defence; Mohammed Mubarak Muntaka, Minister of Interior; Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, Minister of Lands and Natural Resources; Naa Momo Lartey, Minister for Gender, Children, and Social Protection; Kenneth Adjei, Minister of Works, Housing, and Water Resources; and Emmanuel Kwadwo Agyekum, Minister of State in Charge of Special Initiatives, were sworn in.

Additionally, eight new regional ministers have been sworn in:


Parliament approved all fourteen ministers this week. So far, 31 of the 42 ministerial nominees have been sworn in.

Dr. Frank Amoakohene, Ashanti Regional Minister

Akamugri Atanga Modestus, Upper East Regional Minister

Ali Adolf John, Northern Regional Minister

James Gunu, Volta Regional Minister

Rita Akosua Awatey, Eastern Regional Minister

John Kwadwo Gyapong, Oti Regional Minister

Linda Akweley Ocloo, Greater Accra Regional Minister

The vetting process is still underway, and some nominees have yet to appear before the Appointments Committee.
