Leicester City Sign Ghanaian Winger Fatawu Issahaku to 5-Year Deal

Leicester City have completed the signing of Ghanaian winger Fatawu Issahaku from Sporting CP on a permanent five-year contract

. The 19-year-old rising star is set to make his debut in the Premier League next season. Issahaku, who has been with Sporting CP since 2021, has impressed with his performances in the Portuguese league and for the Ghanaian national team.

He is known for his dribbling skills, creativity, and eye for goal.

“I’m excited to join Leicester City and play in the Premier League,” said Issahaku.

“It’s a dream come true for me, and I can’t wait to get started and contribute to the team’s success.”The transfer fee for Issahaku is reported to be around €7.9 million, which will be a significant windfall for his former club Steadfast FC in Ghana.

Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers expressed his delight at securing Issahaku’s signature, saying, “Fatawu is a talented young player with a bright future. We believe he has the potential to develop further and make a real impact in the Premier League.”

With this signing, Leicester City have bolstered their attacking options as they look to improve on their performance in the upcoming season. Issahaku’s arrival is expected to add depth and creativity to the Foxes’ squad
