Former National Signals Bureau (NSB) Director Kwabena Adu Boahene and his wife, Angela Adjei Boateng, are still in detention despite being granted bail, according to Deputy Attorney General Dr Justice Srem-Sai, since they have yet to meet their bail requirements.

Speaking on TV3’s Ghana Tonight, on Monday, March 24, Dr. Srem-Sai disclosed that Kwabena Adu Boahene and his wife are not the only ones still under investigation.

“In this particular case, there were about 15 people involved at the last count,” he told me.

He went on to explain that some individuals had been arrested, while others had been questioned and released.

“They’re actually on bail. All that remains for them to do is complete their bail terms. We don’t only have one suspect in custody; there are 15,” he added.

In a separate subject, Dr. Srem-Sai has urged the Minority in Parliament and former Bank of Ghana Governor Dr. Ernest Addison to publicly report the alleged robbery at Addison’s home if their claims are to be taken seriously.

Speaking on Ghana Tonight, he denied the charges as unfounded, pointing out that no official complaint has been lodged with the police.

“I expect the Minority will advise Dr. Addison to file a police report. If you [Minority] have chosen not to file a report but want to force the public to accept your charges of theft in the former central bank governor’s residence, that is wrong,” he said.

He further said that certain Minority MPs made up stories and fraudulently attributed them to Dr. Addison, emphasising that the former governor’s position on the issue contradicts their allegations.
