Kofi Adomah speaks; blames Dormaahene

Renowned journalist Kofi Adomah Nwanwani has released his first public comment since a horrific tragedy that nearly cost him his sight.

Kofi Adomah claimed that he is in great pain and has a persistent headache, making it difficult for him to rest or sleep despite receiving several medical treatments.

I’d like to talk before anything happens. I’m in severe pain and my head is aching badly, but I need to speak up before anything bad happens,” he stated, visibly upset.

During a musketry exhibition in Dormaa in December 2024, gunpowder residue struck the announcer in the eye.

Despite his injury, he stayed determined to cover the festival, even travelling to Dubai for treatment.

However, Kofi expressed regret that his people had abandoned him during his rehabilitation, and he accused some Dormaa traditional elders of attempting to cover up the incident to avoid public shame.

If anybody will do this to me, I didn’t expect it to come from Bono people,” he pleaded.

Despite the hurdles, Kofi expressed thankfulness to God for saving his life and thanked Ghanaians for their prayers and support.
