Yaw Buaben Asamoa, a current campaign manager for Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen and a former communications director for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), asserts that, should both candidates run for president in 2024, former President Mahama is no match for Alan Kyerematen.
Since his track record from his tenure as vice president to president shows how poorly he managed the economy, Mr. Buaben claims that former President Mahama has nothing fresh to offer Ghanaians.
When President Kufuor left office, he claimed the economy was prospering, but in 2014, the IMF’s involvement brought it back to life.
John Mahama Is No Match For Alan – Yaw Buaben Asamoa
When Buaben appeared on “Good Evening Ghana,” a political program on Metro TV, he was responding to a query about Alan Kyerematen’s confidence in “beating” John Dramani Mahama should they run in the 2024 elections.
Buaben continued, “It is clear what Ghanaians will go for because Alan’s track record as a trade minister stands high above that of John Dramani Mahama.”
Mr. Buaben emphasized that the former president could not or had not made any prospective interventions should he be given a mandate because of his protracted time spent in the opposition.
“In contrast to the former President, Alan Kyerematen announced his desire to run for flagbearer before releasing his Great Transformational Plan, which Buaben saw as a potential intervention to help Ghana recover.
Because of this, he claimed, Alan Kyerematen has an advantage over John Dramani Mahama.
Buaben further emphasized that with such interventional plans, Alan not only defeats John Mahama but also his NPP rivals.
Because he has revived optimism in politics and the delegates are well-informed about him, Mr. Buaben claimed Alan Kyerematen will still stand tall among his rivals and prevail.
