John Dumelo, Afia Odo, others join day three of anti-galamsey protest

On the third day of the ongoing anti-galamsey protest, renowned figures, such as actor and politician John Dumelo and social media personality Efia Odo, joined the protesters. This resulted in a considerable increase in the amount of support for the protest.

The demonstration, which has been gaining steam for the past three days, is intended to bring attention to the catastrophic effects that illicit mining (galamsey) has on the ecosystem.

Even though they are singing and dancing, the protesters are continuing their vibrant demonstration.

Under the auspices of the advocacy organization Concerned Citizens Against Galamsey, the purpose of the demonstration is to bring attention to the serious environmental damage that is brought about by illegal mining, which is generally referred to as galamsey.
