Afua Asantewaa Aduonum has completed Guinness World Record singing marathon by an individual attempt. The young Ghanaian woman defied all odds to undertake 126h, 56mins sing_a_thon which saw her unofficial surpass the current holder at 106h.
It is undoubtedly that Afua stole the attention of all Ghanaians during her attempt, many celebrities including Shatta wale, Kidi, Sarkodie, Lilwin, Asamoah Gyan, Samini, Jonathan Mensah, Piesie Esther etc throng to Akwaaba Village where the attempt was going.
The vice president, Dr. Bawumia among other politicians including Alan Kyeremanteng graced her with their presence to support her. Indeed Afua received the support from Ghanaians home and afar.
The evidence of the attempt will be sent to Guinness World Records for review before official announcement of award. It is on record that GWR are aware of her attempt and are waiting for evidence of it.
Just after hours of her milestone, the resilient young mother of three has already received her first award. She has been appointed Tourism ambassador for Ghana.
The news was revealed by TV3 on X formerly Twitter and Ghanaians can not hide their excitement for Asantewaa.
