Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto, a candidate for the position of flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), is attempting to dispel a certain perception regarding his persona.

The man who used to serve as the Minister of Agriculture is adamant that he is not an arrogant person, despite the fact that some people have that impression of him.

Dr. Akoto asserts that the opposite is actually the case.

In Accra, he stated, “Often, I have been perceived as being too serious and arrogant, but that is far from reality.” “Frequently, I have often been perceived as being too serious and arrogant.”

Dr. Akoto is adamant that his closest colleagues can vouch for his affable nature and approach, and he cites them as evidence.

People who know me well say that I exude self-assurance, that I am “very passionate,” and that I have “strong” opinions regarding a variety of topics.

Afriyie Akoto continued by saying, “In point of fact, I am a very affable, friendly, and open-hearted person.”

As a result of the “immense support that I have received so far ever since I announced my intention to contest the flagbearer race,” the NPP stalwart reaffirmed his conviction that he is the only candidate who has a chance to win the upcoming election and assume control of the party.

“I never knew there were so many who have quietly followed my progress in politics over the years and continue to believe in me,” he added. “It means the world to me that so many people have supported me.”
