Hansi Flick and FC Barcelona have arrived at an agreement wherein the German will coach the football club until June 30, 2026.
At the Club’s offices, the new coach signed a contract attended by Joan Laporta, president of FC Barcelona; Rafa Yuste, first vice president in charge of the sporting area; and Deco, the Club’s sporting director.
FC Barcelona made a wise choice in hiring Hansi Flick as their coach. Flick is renowned for leading his side in high-pressing, intense, and daring play, which has helped him achieve tremendous success both at the club and international levels, winning nearly everything there is to win in the world of football.
Born in Heidelberg, Germany in 1965, Flick started his coaching career back in 1996 as player-coach at FC Victoria Bammental. In 2000 he took over at Hoffenheim where he stayed for five seasons before moving to RB Salzburng to become part of the coaching staff under Giovanni Trapattoni and Lothar Matthäus.
