Gyakye Quayson, the Parliamentary Candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Assin North by-election, is claiming to have won the elections that took place on Tuesday, and as a result, he is getting a tonne of messages of congratulations from his followers.
According to the provisional results, he came out on top, beating out both Charles Opoku of the New Patriotic Party and Bernice Enyonam Sefenu of the Liberal Party of Ghana.
Nevertheless, the Electoral Commission of Ghana (EC) has not yet made a public announcement regarding the official results of the by-election.
However, the Parliamentary Candidate for the 2020 election posted on his official Facebook page his gratitude to the people of the Assin North Constituency for providing him with a second opportunity.
Several influential members of the party have contacted him to offer their congratulations.
