In a statement on X (previously Twitter), the club reported that Siaw had been remanded for facilitating Braima’s escape. Braima, who is still on the run, is reported to have escaped to Senegal via Ivory Coast after being branded a wanted person by police.

Asante Kotoko has stated:

The police have arrested Grace Siaw, Daniel Febiri’s girlfriend, a.k.a. Braima, a.k.a. Ashi, a.k.a. Rasta, who concealed the suspect between February 4 and 17 and helped him travel to Senegal via Côte d’Ivoire. She was brought to court on February 25 and remanded. She is set to appear in court today, and we are awaiting the procedures.

Siaw is scheduled to return to court on March 3, 2025, after her first appearance.

Pooley was fatally stabbed by an unidentified person during Asante Kotoko’s match versus Nsoatreman on February 2, 2025, at Nana Konamansah Park in Nsoatre.

After several arrests and legal hearings, Braima was recognised as the primary suspect. He has been on the run since the sad occurrence occurred last month.

The Prime Suspect’s Family Reaction

Meanwhile, Braima’s family has declared their willingness to assist the authorities in capturing him.

His brother told Sunyani-based Ark FM that Braima must face the repercussions of his conduct if he did commit the murder.

The family says if he did it, he must face the consequences. As a result, his family is opposed to him fleeing. No.

We are all searching, assisting, and looking everywhere to find him so that he may explain his motivations for doing this.

If he did it, he should come forward and explain why. We’re hearing a variety of stories in Nsoatre, and many people believe I was the one arrested by the Ghana Police.

Pooley is scheduled to be buried on March 6, 2025.
