GWR: Ghanaian lady sets new world record, check it out

Ghanaian hairstylist Chelsea-Abigail Owusu Ansah is the new world record-holder for the most hair-locking styles finished in eight hours.

Chelsea-Abigail Owusu Ansah, a hairstylist from Ghana, has attained a great accomplishment by surpassing the record for the number of hair-locking styles completed in eight hours.

Chelsea, who had expertise in the art of locks of hair, began her bid to break the record on March 6, 2024, at Ashongman Estates in Accra. In less than eight hours, she was able to lock 27 heads.

On Saturday, September 7, Chelsea made the official announcement of her accomplishment by posting photographs of her Guinness World Records plaque on Instagram. She was quite pleased of this accomplishment.

Chelsea’s commitment to the art of hair locking has paid off, as she is the proprietor of Yogas Locks, a hair salon located in Accra.

Ghanaian lady sets new world record

Her remarkable achievement has earned her a distinction on the website of Guinness World Records. Because of this, Ghana’s beauty industry has received accolades, and she has demonstrated her incredible talent and perseverance.

The purpose of Chelsea-Abigail’s record-breaking endeavor was to dispel myths about dreadlocks and foster inclusivity. Chelsea-Abigail has a career in hair locking that spans more than six years.
