Ghana won roughly US$700,000 for participation in the 21st edition of the Kirin Cup Soccer event in Japan, according to 2RVISIONNEWS.COM.
After a six-year absence, the Black Stars have returned to compete in this year’s international friendly event.
According to 2RVISIONNEWS.COM, the Ghana Football Association was paid US$650,000 as an appearance fee before opting to participate in the event.

After defeating Chile in post-match penalty shootouts on Tuesday, the Black Stars claimed third place and a US$50,000 award.
Ghana was defeated 4-1 by Japan in the second semi-final match at the Noevir Stadium Kobe in Kobe on Friday, ahead of a third-place playoff match against Chile in Osaka.

Tunisia won the competition after defeating Japan 3-0 in the final at the Panasonic Stadium Suita in Osaka on Tuesday.
The four-nation tournament served as a warm-up for Japan, Ghana, and Tunisia, who will compete in the World Cup beginning in November in Qatar.
