The Paris 2024 Olympic Games have commenced, with Ghana sending a delegation of eight athletes competing in three sports.
The athletes include Rose Yeboah (high jump), Harry Stacey,, and Joselle Mensah (swimming), along with Saminu Abdul Rasheed, Joseph Paul Amoah, Fuseini Ibrahim, Botsio Isaac, and Benjamin Azamati (track and field).
Ghana’s competition kicks off on Tuesday, July 30, with Harry Stacey participating in the Men’s 100m Freestyle – Heat 4. Rose Yeboah will compete in the Women’s high jump on Friday, August 2.
The following day, Joselle Mensah is set to race in the Women’s 100m Freestyle – Heat 6, while Azamati and Abdul Rasheed will take part in the Men’s 100m.
On August 8, the five sprinters will join forces for the men’s 4x100m relay, Round 1.
